John Burns joins Corpfinance International from the national law firm of Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP where he was a partner and head of the National Corporate/Commercial Law Practice Group. John brings CFI 26 years of expertise in the practice of law in Toronto. John will be actively involved in CFI’s securitization, project finance and equity investment business, and facilitate a more efficient closing process for complex transactions. John Burns will also continue to be a director of CFI. Corpfinance International Limited specializes in providing customized capital solutions for private and public corporations. Through its wholly owned subsidiary CFI Capital, and CFI Trust, which is AAA rated by DBRS, CFI has generated over $2 billion in originations and has executed transactions ranging from $10 million to $100 million.
